New subway lines start construction in Beijing

Five new subway lines with a total length of nearly 140 kilometers began construction in Beijing on Saturday.

Builders are working at the Line 10 subway construction site in Beijing on December 8. Construction started yesterday on five new subway lines with a total length of nearly 140 kilometers in Beijing. [Xinhua] 

The five lines are Line 6, the second phase of Line 10 and Line 8, Yizhuang and Daxing lines.
