The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission launched a massive reshuffle on the senior management in China's telecommunications area, according to today's Shanghai Morning Post.

China Unicom Ltd said yesterday that its executive director, Li Jianguo, has resigned from his current position to join China Network Communications Group Corp, China Netcom's parent company.

His official resignation took place on July 9 of this year. Li Jianguo was appointed in April 2006 as executive director of China Unicom Ltd.

In a statement last Friday, China Telecom said its executive vice president Huang Wenlin had also left the company in order to join China Mobile.

Meanwhile, China Mobile, the largest mobile carrier in China by subscribers, said Monday its vice president and executive director Zhang Chenshuang had resigned to join China Telecom.
