RF power amp pioneer opens China officesBy (Agencies)
Updated: 2007-07-09 11:54 Nujira Ltd, developer of efficient power amplifiers for wireless applications, is expanding its operations in the Pacific Rim with a larger sales network in China and a field support office in Japan. Earlier this year, the company, which was set up in 2002, demonstrated its high-efficiency RF Power Amplifier operation in collaboration with three simultaneous full-bandwidth W-CDMA carriers. Nujira says its High Accuracy Tracking (HAT) technology dynamically modulates the RF power amplifier supply voltage to provide a significant improvement in the efficiency of linear amplifiers—from a typical figure of around 15 percent to more than 50 percent. Tim Haynes, CEO of Nujira, said the dedicated facility in Japan will be quicker to respond to its growing customer base in the country. The expansion of the sales network in China is targeted at the many emerging players in the local wireless infrastructure market who are very focused on fast time-to-market, and are looking for ways to gain an advantage over the incumbent suppliers in Western markets. In addition China is trying its best to limit its contribution to global warming. (For more biz stories, please visit Industry Updates)
