According to a source with HSI Service, the company has finished the development of the A-share related services and products. The A plus H index and relevant products will be introduced to the public on Friday after authorization from the Shanghai Stock Exchange. However, whether HSI Service will be allowed to design derivatives like the index futures remains unknown.

Guan Yongsheng, general manager of HSI Service, anticipates more and more companies will float both A-shares and H-shares. The A plus H index could thus reflect the difference and interaction of prices of the same stock in the two markets, and help investors understand both markets better.

HSI Service is a company specialized in compiling, calculating and managing the Hang Seng Index and relevant indices, including Hang Seng China Enterprise Index, Hang Seng China H-Financials Index, Hang Seng Composite Index, Hang Seng Composite Industry Index and Hang Seng Freefloat Index Series.
