Over 50% in survey do not trust insurers

In a survey conducted by China Youth Daily and Sina.com, 52.9 percent of respondents do not trust insurance companies.

Of the 2,105 people who participated in the questionnaire, about 22 percent do not purchase insurance, 71 percent buy some insurance, and 7 percent carry a lot of insurance. Of the 78 percent insured, 61.9 percent buy business insurance, and 55.9 percent buy compulsory insurance.

In addition, 52.9 percent respondents assume getting compensation from insurance companies is quite difficult.
