China posted high-tech export value of US$71.8b in 1st quarter

China exported US$71.794 billion worth of high-tech products during the first quarter of 2007, hiking by 21.1% on year and accounting for 28.5% of the country's total export value, according to statistics published by the Ministry of Commerce on its website.

At the same time, China imported high-tech products valued at US$60.271 billion, growing by 12.2% on year and taking up 29.3% of its total import value.
