Energy consumption per unit GDP down 1.23% in 2006(Xinhua)Updated: 2007-02-28 13:49 China's energy consumption per 10,000 yuan (1,292 U.S. dollars) of GDP fell 1.23 percent to 1.21 tons of coal equivalent in 2006, failing to meet the projected target, show official figures released Wednesday.
