China Everbright Group, the parent company of the China Everbright Limited is a core state owned enterprise operating under the supervision of the state council of China. The Group's business mainly covers banking, securities, insurance and investment management business.

As a result of China's opening up and reform, China Everbright Holding Company Limited was established in Hong Kong in 1983. In 1993-1994, the group started to invest in the Hong Kong capital market, acquiring listed companies and restructuring China Everbright Limited, China Everbright International Limited.

At present, the group consists of a series of companies including China Everbright Bank,
Everbright Securities Company Limited, Sunlife Everbright Insurance Company Limited and
Everbright Pramerica Fund Management Co Ltd. It is also the biggest shareholder of Shenyin & Wanguo Securities Company Limited.
