The number of inbound tourist arrivals reached 92.22 million in the first three quarters, up 2.9 percent from the same period of last year.

The number of Chinese tourists departing for overseas locations hit a record high of 25.61 million, an increase of 11 percent.

China has also become Asia's most popular tourist destination.
