Macroeconomy:WB raises China 2007 forecast

The World Bank (WB) on Tuesday raised its 2007 growth forecast for China's economy to 9.6 percent from 9.3 percent, saying that yawning trade surplus would aggravate the country's economic imbalance.

In the latest Quarterly Update on China, the Washington-based group stood by its previous projections that China's gross domestic product would grow 10.4 percent this year.
