China's overall aviation turnover by regular flights reached 25.77 billion
ton/kilometers in 2005, ranking the second in the world, only after the United
States.
According to the statistics from International Aviation Organization and the
General Administration of Civil Aviation of China, China's international route
turnover reached 8.38 billion ton/kilometers last year, up 9.2 percent compared
with 2004, still ranking the 10th in the world.
Passenger turnover reached 201.96 billion passengers/kilometers, up 14.6
percent. Cargo turnover surpassed 7.57 billion ton/kilometers, up 7.9 percent
compared with the previous year.
