Auto Industry: Mahle opens headquarters

Updated: 2006-05-17 14:47 Mahle GmbH, the world's largest piston
manufacturer, opened its Chinese headquarters in Shanghai recently. The center
has an initial investment of 100 million yuan (US$12.5 million).
It is also Mahle's first technical center to cover its entire production
lineup. The Stuttgart-headquartered auto components manufacturer operates eight
production plants in China. It also plans to build more plants in
China.
