Finance: Finance Summit

The Western China Finance Summit 2006 will be held in this capital of Sichuan
Province from May 26 to 27. The summit is sponsored by the State Council Leading
Group Office for of Western Development, China Council for the Promotion of
International Trade and Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign
Countries and the Sichuan provincial government.
The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute saw its members in China
increase by more than 53 per cent since 2005 to 603 by the end of March, making
China its fastest-growing market.
