Layout of Exhibition Halls
The 33,000-square-meter major exhibition halls are located at Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center, and are composed of Pavilion for Various Provinces, Cities and Autonomous Regions of China, Overseas Pavilion, Investment Service and Brand-name Enterprises Pavilion, and Tourism Investment Promotion Pavilion (The 2nd Cross-Strait Travel Fair)
Pavilion for Various Provinces, Cities and Autonomous Regions of China
It is located in Hall A and Hall B with exhibition areas for East, Central, West and Northeast China, and is for showcasing investment environments, investment policies, investment projects and commodities of various provinces, cities and autonomous regions.
Overseas Pavilion
It is located in Hall C and Hall D with exhibition areas for Overseas Investment Promotion Agencies, State (Region) Pavilion Day, Multinational Companies and Overseas Enterprises, International Sister Cities and Taiwan-founded Enterprises.
Investment Services and Brand-name Enterprises Pavilion
It is located in Hall D with exhibition areas for Finance, Securities and Insurance Institutions, Investment Service Organizations, National Development Zones, Chinese Brand-name Enterprises and Chinese Private Enterprises.
Tourism Promotion Pavilion
Located in Hall E, it is the special exhibition area for the 2nd Tourism Exposition Across the Taiwan Straits, which is for showcasing tourism resources and products at home and abroad by integrating the promotion of tourism projects and tourism products with the exhibition of tourism leisure products.
International Investment Forum and Series of Seminars
During the 10th CIFIT, China’s Ministry of Commerce will sponsor International Investment Forum. In addition, relevant state ministries and commissions will sponsor series of seminars and briefings on such hot topics as Introducing FDI and Going Global, Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum Across the Taiwan Straits, Seminar on Chinese Enterprises’ Going Global, and Investment Environments Briefings of West, Central and Northeast China. The organizing committee will organize China International Sister Cities Cooperation Forum, Capital Forum and Roundtable Conference for International Friendship Chambers. Cosponsors of CIFIT, governments, investment promotion agencies, chambers of commerce and enterprises from dozens of countries and regions over the world will organize seminars and briefings on global investment hot topics, as well as industrial policies guidance, and investment environment and projects of various countries (regions). Examples include Sino-Africa Forum, Sino-Portugal Forum, and Economic Development and Cooperation Forum between China and Pacific Island Countries. Leaders from the Chinese Central Government, senior government officials, principals of international economic organizations and enterprises, experts and scholars will be invited to deliver speeches.
Matchmaking Symposia for Investment Projects
CIFIT Organizing Committee will convene Matchmaking Symposium for Foreign Investment Projects in China, Matchmaking Symposium for Chinese Investment Cooperation Projects, Matchmaking Symposium for Chinese Enterprises to Go Global, Matchmaking Symposium for Third Country (Region) to invest Third Country (Region), and Briefing on Investment Projects from September 7th –11th, 2006. These activities also include Matchmaking Symposium for Taiwan-founded Enterprises, Matchmaking Symposium for State Property Right Exchange, Matchmaking Symposium for New and High Technology and Patent Technology Transfer, and Matchmaking Symposium for Investment Fund.
Matchmaking Symposium for Foreign Investment Projects in China and Matchmaking Symposium for Chinese Investment Cooperation Projects focus on such themes as infrastructure, service trade, electronic information, agriculture, modern logistics, petrol-chemicals, biological medicine, energy and environmental protection, machinery equipment, metallurgy and building materials, while Matchmaking Symposium for Chinese Enterprises to Go Global falls into such areas as Asia, Europe, America, Africa and Oceania for negotiation.
