Compared to today's clothes with their vibrant colors, garments were definitely duller in the 1970s and early 1980s. The Sun Yat-sen suit, with a closed stand collar and centre-front buttons, was the main focus of menswear. Women's clothing also tended towards function rather than style, and almost everyone wore the same rubber-soled shoes. During those times, clothing was really limited. Dark blue, gray and khaki were dominant colors and the styles were very simple. Both men and women all wore similar clothing.
