China's double Grand Slam women's doubles
champions Zheng Jie and Yan Zi have entered the quarterfinals of the US Open
after beating Ashley Harkleroad of the United States and Galina Voskoboeva of
Russia 6-3, 6-4.

The second-seeded Chinese duo didn't find their rhythm in the beginning,
losing their service straight into the match.
After exchanging services once and reducing the deficit to 3-2, they were
back on track. Zheng and Yan won the next four games to take the first set.
The Chinese pair continued their run by winning the first two games of the
second set and kept their advantage to secure the victory.
The ousted Russo-American pair eliminated Olympic champions Li Ting and Sun
Tian in the first round.
